Women of Vision is a volunteer ministry of World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization, which equips women to serve impoverished and oppressed women and children worldwide. We seek to educate and inspire women to action in an effort to alleviate the injustice and inequities that exist for women and their families.
We are women of diverse ages, backgrounds, and circumstances, united to serve and walk alongside those in need, near and far away, so that, together, we can help create a brighter and healthier future for suffering women and children. With over 40 chapters (and growing) around the U.S., you can join a chapter in your area, start a chapter, or participate in our online chapter.
As Women of Vision we:
PRAY for the women and children touched by our projects.
EDUCATE chapter partners and our communities on the injustices faced by women and children around the world. A myriad of educational opportunities are available through Women of Vision such as our biannual National Conference, our Heart of the Matter study, and monthly national Conference Calls.
ADVOCATE for issues affecting the poor and oppressed. You have a voice! Use your voice to fight poverty and injustice and amplify the voices of the poor and oppressed around the world. Join us in tackling the underlying causes of poverty, injustice, and human suffering.
SERVE local ministries that benefit the impoverished. Each chapter conducts volunteer service activities and hosts chapter events. Find a chapter near you.
SUPPORT selected World Vision projects through personal giving and special fundraising events or benefits. Our Strong Women, Strong World initiative supports some of the best projects and practices in some of the worst places in the world to be a woman or girl.

“…In my opinion, the single most significant thing that can be done to cure extreme poverty is this: protect, educate, and nurture girls and women and provide them with equal rights and opportunities – educationally, economically, and socially.”
–Rich Stearns, President, World Vision US, The Hole in Our Gospel
This site is a resource for Women of and “with” Vision to connect and communicate. As women from diverse backgrounds who are spread out geographically, we are all on a journey to bring hope and healing to the countless women and children who are suffering in our world today. Motivated by our faith and fueled by the example and passion of Jesus to care for the poor, we seek to educate ourselves to not only learn and support but to advocate on behalf the poor.
